Many common problems can be treated at home without the need to consult a doctor and your local pharmacist is a great source of easy to access help and advice.

The 'Care at the Chemist' scheme allows you to obtain medicines to treat certain illnesses from your local pharmacy without having to go to your doctors first. If you do not pay for your prescriptions you will not have to pay for any medicines supplied through this scheme.
