Liverpool Community Drug & Alcohol Service
Liverpool Community Alcohol Services
Liverpool Community Alcohol Service (LCAS) provides a city wide service for residents of Liverpool. They work in the acute hospitals and community bases providing support and treatment interventions to individuals with an alcohol problem. The team aims to help individuals manage the amount they drink, or even help them stop drinking altogether if they choose. The team will work with individuals to develop a personal plan that will support them through care and treatment.
The service works across a range of conditions linked to alcohol dependency, from people with a serious illness caused by alcohol to people who are borderline dependent. They can help you establish the severity of your dependency and work with you to develop a care plan that is right for you. LCAS supports inpatient and community-based detoxification programmes for people requiring a medical detoxification programme.
If you are a friend, relative or carer of someone you suspect of having an alcohol problem you can also access LCAS for free and confidential advice.
