Booking blood tests for adults

Patients over the age of 16 who require a blood test can book an appointment to have this done at one of the local community clinics by calling 0151 285 4548 or going on line via www.merseycare.nhs.uk/bloodtestliverpool.  This service is available in multiple community clinics, the closest being South Liverpool Treatment Centre in Garston.

Booking blood tests for children

For children aged 12 to 15, the blood test appointments need to be booked by the clinical support team at the surgery. The clinics are at either South Liverpool Treatment Centre or Old Swan Health Centre.

For children under the age of 12, parents/carers are able to make an appointment directly with Alder Hey by calling the booking line on 0151 282 4589.

Blood tests for house bound patients

If you are unable to get to a community clinic and are housebound, the phlebotomy service will visit you at your home. The request is submitted online by the practice and no date or time is given for the appointment.
